Women’s Empowerment Progress Report

In March of this year, we celebrated International Women’s Day by announcing our three-point plan to empower the women of MeUndies and demonstrate how we are affecting change in our own corner of the world. It was important to create actionable, measurable goals so we could hold ourselves accountable.

That was just over six months ago, and today we are proud to share the progress we’ve made. Each of the three pillars we laid out in March (Leadership, Career Growth, Mentorship) are supported by teams who are bringing to life  1-2 projects each year. The common goal in each project is to support the growth and advancement of our female team members and the local community both professionally and personally.

Additionally, MeUndies now holds a monthly Women’s Group Meeting which is open to both men and women at the company. We select topics that impact women at work and in society and end each meeting with a call to action that members report back on at the start of the following meeting. There are roughly 30 core members of the Women’s Group, with other teammates attending when available.

We are also proud to announce three new women to our leadership team. Paula Sutter has joined us as the first female on our Board of Directors. Paula brings with her tremendous knowledge and expertise from leading iconic American fashion brands such as The Donna Karan Company and Diane Von Furstenberg, where she served as President from 1999 to 2013. We are so excited to have her join us in this leadership role.

We are also happy to welcome two strong female leaders to MeUndies—both of whom are joining us in VP level roles. As of today, our employment ratio at MeUndies is 56% female and 40% male.

We will continue to update the progress we have made. Empowering women to succeed is at the very heart of our values and we couldn’t be more excited to keep moving forward with this goal.
