How to Measure Your Bra Size
Not absolutely, positively sure about your bra size? Ah, then you’ve come to the right place.
First of all, you are not alone. You’re quite literally the furthest thing from being alone. Most women are taking over the world right now wearing the wrong size. Imagine what they could do with the right fit. Game over for non-bra wearers, amirite? (Just kidding, we support #freethenip.)
We’re going to walk you through measuring your bra size so that you can find the perfect bralette fit.
Step 1: Find Your Band Size
Grab a measuring tape and wrap it around your ribcage. Make sure it’s comfortably pulled tight right underneath the band of your bra. Mark down how many inches it says and if you land on an even number, this is your band size.
Quick band fit tip: Your band should sit in place when you raise your arms. If your band is riding up and your straps are falling down, then you should go down a band size. Also, keep in mind that your band should not dig in on the loosest hook. If your band or straps are too tight, you should go up a band size.
Step 2: Measure Your Bust Size
Now wrap your measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest. Voilà! This is your bust size.
Step 3: Determine Your Cup Size
Wanna do some quick simple math? Subtract your band size from your bust size. Match your final number to these cup sizes.
2” = B
3” = C
4” = D
5” = DD/E
6” = F
7” = G
8” = H
9” = I
Quick cup fit tip: If you notice gaping (have excess fabric or extra space in your bra), try tightening your straps to see if that helps. If not, then go down a cup size. If your underwire is poking you at your sides or you’re spilling over, go up a cup size.
