The WCCW is Looking for a New Home
We partnered with the Women’s Center for Creative Work as part of our cause marketing pledge. You can read more about this pledge in our blog post about it if ya missed it.
The WCCW is a Los Angeles-based intersectional feminist art space that is building community and elevating the work of women and non-binary artists, makers, and creative practitioners. In their Elysian Valley location, they house a co-work space, artist in residence program and exhibition space, a print lab, a feminist library, and many programs, events, and workshops. They work towards a feminism prioritizing women of color, queer, trans and nonbinary folx, and other marginalized communities. Through this, they are building community, reframing creative conversations, and modeling the world we wish to see.
This is a place that affirms that art, creativity, and imagination have intellectual, personal, and political value. This is a place with an impressive programming calendar, for those seeking to learn, grow, and create art. This is a place that cultivates a spirit of hospitality and care, the same as they would in their own homes. This is a safe space that has a zero-tolerance policy for transphobia, racism, anti-Blackness, homophobia, classism, ableism, & body shaming.
We’re so proud and excited to get to partner with the WCCW as we have been long-time admirers of their work within the community. If you’re looking to learn more about what they offer, or to check out their programming calendar, visit their website.
The WCCW is coming to the end of their five-year lease and are on the hunt for a new home. We’re asking our lovely community to help support the WCCW to make this transition possible so they can continue to provide physical space, educational experiences, and conceptual platforms to cultivate Los Angeles’ feminist creative communities and practices. Just by shopping MeUndies, you support this effort. However, if you would like to donate more, we have an option below. However you help, we thank you for your continued support, and we hope you get the chance to check out our partners and all the amazing work they do for our community.
